I had an epiphany.
A few weeks ago, I was a a baby shower for my good friend Jenny when another friend from church mentioned that she reads my blog. (Thanks Stephanie!)
All of a sudden it hit me... someone read my blog.
Wow.
Up until this point I had never really considered that anyone else was seeing what I was writing.
I learned a great and valuable lesson from this epiphany. That others are reading what I say and watching what I do through my blog. I can only hope that I show God's grace, love, and compassion through what I say and do.
In James 3:5 we are told that the tongue is like a rudder. A large ship has a very small rudder. However, the rudder directs the whole ship in the way in which it should go. Our tongues do the same thing!
What we say can lift someone up and reflect God's love, unfortunately the opposite is true also. I was quickly reminded that while not many people read this blog, someone who is very important to God may be reading it.
That in my opinion is a big deal.
God can use this blog to lift others up, and I would love nothing more than just that.
So to those of you reading this I hope you find my blog to be encouraging, and full of love. Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read what I write.
Love Always,
Alix
