High Five For Friday

Happy Friday! I hope you all had a great week! Here are my five blessings from this week:

1) Discovered the website Dating Divas. So many great date ideas!!

2) Made a chocolate banana soufle' it was super easy. I was totally intimidated at first but it went great!

3) I got nail polish from my swap partner McKenna from Lizzie and Jane. This is one amazing blog, plus they have a really great esty store. I already have my eye on a few of their flowers! I love the nail polish! I will post more about the polish swap next week.

4) Conversations with my sister are the best!

5) Ben surprised me, he took me to a hill top that over looked the city. We drank sparkling cider, talked, and listened to the crickets chirp. I'm one blessed girl to have him!

Dating for Life

Ben and I have been married for eight months now, and I realized that I had not taken the time to show him the love lately. Unfortunately, I am not the most creative person in the world, BUT I can copy things pretty well. Then I discovered this site called Dating Divas. This site is full of all sorts of fantastic ideas. Plus they have free print outs to go with the different dates! They have dates in all different types of categories. Plus craft tutorials and other fun things!

 I have decided I am going to do one of these dates a week for Ben, because he is wonderful and he deserves to be shown that!

So last week this is what I did:

This date is titled Raindrop. I wrote down all sorts of blessings that God has placed in our life, and put them on rain drops that I cut out. I hung them from the ceiling and viola! God's blessing were raining down on us!

This week I did the Grocery Sticky Hunt. This entailed me printing out their clues, and putting them on items in the grocery store. All the items were part of a banana split. We bought the items, and went home and made them! It was quite fun, and Ben was completely surprised.

I think this is a great way to make fun memories together. Do you have a great date idea or story? I would love to hear it!

I Went Off The Deep End......

Well folks I went off the deep end..... And cut my hair super short!

I have been trying to get the gumption up for years to do this! One of my best friends Brynn has always said I should get a pixie.  My husband was even supportive of the idea. So, I just up and did it! What do you think?

What A Peach!

Last weekend we went to pick peaches at Apple Annie's in Wilcox AZ. My mother and father in law were in town along with my sister in law. Katie was a summer missionary, so I had not seen her in months! It was so much fun! I learned a few things from peach pickin:

These peaches were the size of my hand!!!!

1) You can eat some peaches in the orchard to find the type you like the best.
2) Different types of peaches taste WAY different.
3) The fruit is dusty, so bring a water bottle to rinse me off.
4)Being short and picking any type of fruit does not go hand in hand. ( Good thing Ben is six foot!)
5) Orchard peaches taste way batter and are twice as big as grocery store peaches.

All in all we had a great time! We even picked some Asian pears. They also had a bakery, we tried to stay away from the temptation, but it was too much for us! We looked but didn't touch!

They also had tiny little pumpkins, I know they have absolutely nothing to do with peaches.  How cute though right?!

They also had a variety of preserves. Ben's parents bought us some strawberry and peach tea jam. This is the best jam you will EVER taste! If you are in our neck of the woods, you should definitely go!

High Five For Friday

It's Friday!!!!! I'm linking up with Lauren for high five for Friday.

My sister in law is pretty much fantastic! 

1) We went to pick peaches with my in laws in Wilcox AZ! We had a wonderful time!

2) Watched the movie "The Odd Life of Timothy Green."

3) Got to run with Jessica!!!! ( This little one is her youngest Asher. He is one sweet kiddo.)

4) Ben gave me the cutest car air freshener ever made.

5) Found out that we are having a girls weekend soon with some of my best friends.  I can't wait to see them!!!!

Office Space Decor

I have a little office space at work, and I thought i would dress it up a bit! I love to paint, so I thought that I would make some of the wall art. I found one tutorial for the confetti art here, and the rest I sort of just made up!

Ben gave me a cute key for my birthday, and I randomly stuck it on the wall. I decidedI liked it, so thats where that is going to live. This confetti art was super easy to make and so fun! All is took was some fun paper , a circle punch , and a canvas. This is definitely one of my favorite DIY projects to date.

I have not finished this painting yet, but once I do I will show you what the whole wall looks like all together!

This last painting is just a small square. I think the varying sizes of art will look nice together. 

So for the time being my office is in pieces, but I will soon have it all together! I cant wait to have a little color on my wall.

High Five for Friday

Once again its the wonderful day known as Friday! I am linking up with Lauren for High Five for Friday. This week has gone by so quickly!

We had avery busy week this week, but it was a great week! here are a few of my favorite memories from this week. 

1) We went to my home town this week for Ben's Grandfather's birthday. Ben's Grandfather is pretty much my Grandpa. He actually set us up to date, and is one of the most incredible people I have ever met. ( This picture also has my wonderful parents)

2)I got to spend time with my sister. She just started her senior year in high school, and I am so blessed to have her. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful, silly, beautiful, smart, and sarcastic sister! We just get each other its pretty awesome!

3) I got to see one of my best friends Brynn who I have mentioned before. I really missed her!

4) I got to meet Ben's Aunt Gina, Uncle Rick, and their kids Anna Grace and Grant. What a wonderful and special family! We are so blessed to have them as family. Anna Grace is a beautiful and clever girl, and Grant is so enthusiastic and fearless. Gina is an inspiring woman who has the most incredible singing voice I have ever heard. Rick has incredible sense of humor and a huge heart. We had a great time with them!

5) It is always so much fun to go on a road trip with Ben. He is the best traveling friend I could ever ask for! 

6) I usually only do five, but my father was in town this week. We got to spend time with him several nights with him this week. He is the best Father I could ask for, and we had so much fun with him!
